The Data Act is an EU Regulation (EU 2023/2854) designed to provide users of connected products and related services with greater transparency regarding the data generated by these products and services. Furthermore, the regulation defines the conditions under which access to this data must be granted to both users and third parties.
EU Data Regulation 2023/2854: More Transparency for You
In accordance with Art. 3 Para. 2 of Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 (Data Act), we wish to inform you in a transparent and simple manner about our connected products and related services, the data generated by them, and your options for accessing that data.
How to get access to the EU Data Act data
The Data Act applies to connected products that generate and transmit data during use, such as smart heating and ventilation systems, PV battery storage, inverters, wallboxes, or smart thermostats and room sensors. The Data Act also applies to related digital services (e.g., apps like ViCare).
For example, before concluding a contract regarding a connected product or related service, you have the right to be informed about which data is generated by the use of such a product/service and how you can access it. Additionally, you can request the provision of or access to this data, as well as its transfer to third parties.
Depending on the product or service you use, we provide standardized access via API (Application Programming Interface), among other methods. This allows you to use your data securely and in real-time – for example, for analysis or integration into other systems.
Please note: Use of our related services requires an internet connection and agreement to a Data Use Agreement. Furthermore, you must create a personal user account and accept the respective Terms of Use, which can be reviewed during the registration process for each related service.
